Despite the earthquake of 1934, this city is so well preserved and restored that makes you feel you travel 3-4 centuries back as long as you walk into it’s alleys, through Hindu temples and colorful shops.
The capital of Indian Tibet is the ideal starting point for a hike on Himalaya or for a meditation course on high altitude. This scenic, bustling town, is situated on 3.500 m. at the Indus river majestic valley.
Nanga Parbat is the western edge of the Himalaya. It is a breathtaking mountain, very tricky to climb (about 30 people managed it so far and more have been killed on the way to the top) but maybe the most convenient to see from the Karakoram.
