From Tambacounda to the border were a peace of cake. The border procedures at Kidira were straight forward as well. You just have to go to the Police station and after pass the customs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kayes, was very hot today and dusty as always. We found just the relais of the catholic church to camp in and a lousy youth hostel, so we proceeded to Fort de Medine, 15 kms.to the south. Here is the first French settlement in Mali, dated on 19<sup>th<\/sup> century. Here, we found Sisoko, a guide who took us at the wonderful Fallou falls for a dive and found us a secure place to camp, nearby the hotel he runs.
