This morning we left the camping pretty late. It was Sunday, true, so let’s relax, we said.
In the afternoon the temperature was 27º C, so we headed to Cannes, after a stop to nearby Boulangerie for French baguette. There was huge crowd at Cannes today, given the weather and a coiffure salon at the grand Auditorium. We parked our Discovery at the Croisette avenue (yes for free!) and for the next three hours we walked up and down the famous road that was full of funky people, old ladies mainly…
We took a lot of photos. Vula liked the place… After we took photos of the Land Rover as well we drove out of the place, direction Marseille. After a short drive at a little twisty road to Saint Raphael, we left the idea to reach Saint Tropez, we took the A8 motorway to Marseille.
We passed the port and headed to Camargue. From Arles (we had an overnight with George Papadopoulos about 10 yrs ago…) we drove to the deserted little road to Port Saint Luis at the delta of the Rhone river. At a nearby camping we are going to sleep tonight and tomorrow after some tours at some shopping at Decathlon (we need camping chairs…) we will drive towards Spain. Let’s hope that we will find a proper Camping nearby Barcelona, tomorrow night…_Akis Temperidis
