Day 6 | 30.04.2007 | Fast track

Vula still sleeping in Camargue

Today we traveled more than any other day: 617 km. we did, actually.

From Camargue, we drove to Montpellier, where we found a Decathon store for some shopping (camping chairs, sleeping bag etc.). After we got into the autoroute to Perpignan again and we crossed the spanish borders after a short lunch at the Mac Donalds.

20 km. after the border we saw a sign indicating “Museo Dali”. Good idea! We entered Figueres, the native town of the famous surrealist painter. But we delayed a little bit going around the little roads of the town, so we found the red museum closed. Anyway…

So, after, we headed to Barcelona, passed the city through the motorway and proceeded further south to Sitges, where we turned to find a proper camping to overnight. Finally, we found camping La Rueda (www.la-rueda.com) at the Cunit village of the Costa Daurada. Great place for 19 euros per night!

Tomorrow we will proceed to Andalucia, hoping to overnight as close as possible to Algeciras. And the day next? We will travel to Morocco, through Ceuta. Yes! _A.Temperidis

Monday 30/4/2007, 00:35 am, Total km: 2045, day km: 617, Overnight: Camping “La Rueda”, Cunit, Spain. Tip of the day: Beware the speed limits on the French autoroute. Some blue Imprezas are waiting for you…
